M4MMJ SPECIAL EVENT

Musicians for Medical Marijuana is proud to present a benefit concert:

Saturday August 25th 2001
Indigo Event Center (formerly Sweet’s Ballroom)
1933 Broadway (at 19th.), Oakland, CA

There will be secured parking available. The Indigo was originally built in 1906 and is a newly refurbished big band style ballroom which boasts the largest spring loaded dance floor in northern California. The Indigo has been the proud host of acts such as Louis Armstrong, Ella Fitzgerald, Benny Goodman, Cab Callaway and many many more.

Doors will open at 3:30 p.m. The show will start at 4:20.
Tickets will be a minimum donation of $25.00.

Tickets are no longer available on the WEB.
Tickets WILL be available at the door on the day of the event at 2:30 p.m.

Featured acts will include:
Sound Tribe Sector 9
Lost at Last
The Mermen
Netwerk Electric
and Ten Ton Ckicken

Also appearing will be the incredible Scott Huckabay http://www.scotthuckabay.com and the renound Buzzy Linhart http://www.buzzylinhart.com and Lee Freeman (Strawberry Alarm Clock).

Sound will be provided by Alchemy Audio Engineering.  There will be a killer psychedelic light show.  Tie-dyes will be provided by [email protected] and Jeremy.  Security and medical will be provided by Ahsem.

There will be a select number of high quality crafters as well as some book authors showing, signing and selling their wares.

Keeping with the tradition of available access there will be doctors and lawyers on hand for consultation.

There will of course be a raffle with lot’s of great prizes.

Tickets are available at The Co-op Stop/Oakland Cannabis Buyers Cooperative located at 1733 Broadway in Oakland (at 17th.) Mon.-Fri. 10am-5pm and Sat. 10am-3pm. 510-832-5346.

Proceeds from this event will go to support: public education efforts, medical cannabis research and financial assistance for patients and their caregivers facing legal challenges.
