M4MMJ SPECIAL EVENT Musicians for Medical Marijuana is proud to present a benefit concert: Friday,
November 16, 2001 There will be secured parking available (See details below). The Historic Sweet's Ballroom was originally built in 1931 and is a newly refurbished big band style ballroom which boasts the largest spring loaded dance floor in northern California. The Historic Sweet's Ballroom has been the proud host of acts such as Louis Armstrong, Ella Fitzgerald, Benny Goodman, Cab Callaway and many many more. Doors will open at
6:30 p.m. The show will start promptly at 7:30 p.m. Featuring The Bewitching.... And.....Getting You In The Mood....A Set By The Fabulous... Special Guest Appearances by: The One & Only Mountain Girl Ed Rosenthal SECURED PARKING WILL BE AVAILABLE: The lot is located at 1719 Franklin St. The info. # for the lot is 510-272-0401. The entrance is on 19th. street between Franklin and Broadway. The cost will be $1.00/hr. until 10 p.m. and $2.00 flat fee after 10. The entire cost of your stay can be paid upon entry. So for example, if you enter at 6 pm you will pay $1.00 X 4 + $2.00 = $6.00. The lot WILL close at 2 a.m. and any cars left will be locked inside until the following day. The show is scheduled to end by 1:30 so there should be ample time. There will be an attendant at the entrance as well as roaming security guards. Sound will be provided by Alchemy Audio Engineering. There will be a killer psychedelic light show by Liquid Lights. Tie-dyed ambiance will be provided by [email protected] and Jeremy. Security and medical will be provided by Ahsem. There will be a select number of high quality crafters as well as some book authors showing, signing and selling their wares. Keeping with the tradition of available access there will be doctors and lawyers on hand for consultation. There will of course be a raffle with lot's of great prizes.
